The Green Bay Packers suffered a big loss in Week 2 when they lost Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins for the season. Thankfully, Collins avoided serious injury when he injured his neck on an awkward tackle. That said, the Packers aren’t saying whether the neck injury could be a career-threatening injury.

Collins was injured when attempted to tackle Jonathan Stewart of the Carolina Panthers. Collins’ head hit Stewart’s hip and he fell to the turf and appeared to be motionless. Eventually, he was able to wave to the crowd before being taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, Collins regained all feelings in his arms and legs. The exact damage to his neck has yet to be explained, however.

While the loss of Collins hurts the defending Super Bowl champions, Green Bay proved last season that they can overcome injuries and still win games when it matters.
